MEETING POINT ( we can also agree some other metting points) At the agreed time we meet at the »Žibert Inn » in Ljubljana from where we will take you towards our launch site. Our launch sites are in the »Planica« Valley where teh famous ski jumps are or in Kranjska gora depending on the wind. After the flight we bring you back to our initial meeting point. FLIGHT When we get to the launch site the ground crew will prepare the balloon for the flight. If you would like you can assist us under the supervision of the ground crew. The balloon will be ready in cca 20 minutes, then you board the basket and off we take off. The duration of the flight is somewhere between 2 ½ hrs to 3 hrs . Our possible landing sites are in around Ljubljana, Postojna or even the Vipava Valley. Our ground crew is following us on the ground all the time and they come to pick us up after landing and packs the balloon. On this flight you really overfly the Alps with magnificent view of the Julian Alps, mt.Triglav, Karavanke Alps, Dolomites and at the last stage of the flight you will be able to see the Gulf of Trieste. AFTER THE FLIGHT When the balloon is packed and back on the trailer we have a traditional Balloon Ceremony with Champagne. According to this tradition you get Honorable titles of Baroness and Barons. On our way back to our initial meeting point we will stop for a coffee or tea and small snack. While you are enjoying it, we will hand write you Certificates that you became Honorable Baroness or Baron. THE END The whole adventure will take about 6 hrs to 8 hrs of your time. BOOKING Due to the specifics ( weather wise ) of the flights above Julian Alps it is not possible to make a booking on a specific date. If you would like to make a flight over the Julian Alps you have to call or write us with your intentions. The same applies to those who have received a Gift Voucher. We will put you on a list of passengers and will inform you 2 to 3 day before the possible flight according to the forecasts we get daily. Flights over the Julian Alps are generally conducted in winter months starting at the begining of November and ending in March. Due to the weather forecasts we can not plan a flight more than 2 to 3 days in advance and still it can happen that we cancel the flight on short notice due to the change of the weather. A peaceful flight with a balloon over Bled and its surroundings is a great pleasure for everybody with stunning views of the Julian and Karavanke Alps. Flying over the Bled Castle , beautiful valley with Sava river winding down the valley, small villages and overflying the oldest Golf course in Slovenia which was build for the times of King Karadjordjević in 1937. Some say that it is the most beautiful Golf course in Europe. Before the flight, you will see the preparation of the balloon for your flight and if you would like, you can participate under the supervision of our crew. FLIGHT Balloons are pushed just by the winds aloft so before we take off we have to measure these winds ( direction and speed ) with the help of a small helium filled balloon. According to this assessment we decide on which take off place we will go so that the winds will bring us to an area where we can land after our flight. When we arrive on our take off place we start setting up the balloon. If you would like you can assist us in doing this under the supervision of our crew. This can add up to your ballooning experience if you wish. Holding the gentle giant in your hands is something special. Balloon is ready for a flight in approx 20 minutes. We take off and fly over the Castle of Bled, Lake Bled, township of Bled down towards Lesce and Radovljica. You will have beautiful and stunning views of the Triglav National Park, Julian and Karavanke Alps, the Sava river Valley with its tiny villages, dense forests of Jelovica Plateau, rising sun above the ranges of Karavanke Alps and many more, just beautiful. Exact flight path depends on the winds that very day. We fly for about an hour and our crew is following us on the ground all the time. When we land they come and pick us up. AFTER THE FLIGHT When the balloon is packed and back on trailer we have a traditional »Ballooning Ceremony« with a glass of Champagne. This tradition is from the times when they started to fly balloons here. With this Ceremony you get the Honorable Titles of Baroness or Baron of the area where the balloon was flying over. After the Ceremony while you are enjoying your morning treat we handwrite the Certificates for you so that you also have a nice written memory about obtaining your noble status. DURATION Normally it will take about 4 to 4 ½ hours of your time. Sometimes we can compact the programme in order to suit you if you are tight with your schedule. MEETING POINT We meet at Triglavska Roža. We can arrange free pick up from in-front of your accommodation if you are staying on Bled or it's surroundings or for a small fee if you are not staying on Bled. WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR A BALLOON FLIGHT Suitable weather conditions for conducting a safe balloon flight is such that there is no precipitation, fog or strong winds. It is pilot's decision wether the weather is suitable for conducting a safe balloon flight or not on the day of your flight. Sometimes we can make that decision two or three days ahead depending on the forecast but not earlier than that.

FLIGHT We have more take-off places in and around Ljubljana. Balloons are pushed just by the winds. This is the reason why we take –off from different places everyday as we want that the winds will take us over the 2000 years old City center of Ljubljana with all of it's attractions. Sometimes the winds take us also over the Ljubljana Marsh Nature Park locally called Barje on the southern part of Ljubljana. Ljubljana Marsh Nature Park is well know for its more than 5200 years old history of pile dwellling settlements and is also an endangered birds reserve now. The oldest man made wooden wheel with axle on the world was excavated here few years ago and is now presented in the City Museum of Ljubljana. When we get to the take-off place our ground crew and the pilot sets the balloon. If you would like to get an extra experience of ballooning you can participate volountarily under the supervision of our crew. It will take us about 15-.20 minutes and then you will board the basket and the pilot will take you into the wonderland of a balloon flight and memorable experience. We fly for about an hour and after that the pilot lands on a suitable landing place. Ground crew comes and packs the balloon. If you would like you can also volountarily participate in this part of the activity as at take off, to pack the giant piece of envelope fabric back into the envelope bag, which was carrying you in the air. AFTER THE FLIGHT After the balloon is packed we will have a traditional Balloon Ceremony with a glass of premium Slovene Sparkling wine (Champagne). If you meet all of the »conditions« you will be titled with the title of Honorable Baroness or Baron of the area the balloon was flying over. When finishing the Ceremony we will hand write your Certificates, so that you have a proof that you are a Honorable Baroness or Baron. For those passengers that had a pick up we will take you back to your accommodation. AT THE END It will take about 4-5 hours of your time, but if you are tight on your schedule we can compact the whole programme. MEETING POINT At the agreed time early in the morning we meet at our meeting point or we pick you up from infront of your accomodation if you are staying in Ljubljana. At the meeting point you will check-in while the pilot is doing final planning of your flight. He will be assessing wind directios and speeds and deciding on which take-off place we will take you. He will also give you a short briefing of how the morning will unfold. Then he will submits the flight plan to Slovenian Air Traffic Control and off you drive towards your romantic adventure.
